Using the converter — the rules, and who owns the files
Who this is between
These terms are an agreement between you and the operator of this site, [legal entity — to be completed], registered at [registered address — to be completed] under company number [registration number — to be completed]. Using the converter means you accept them; if you do not, please do not use it.
The output is yours
You keep every right you already held in the image you upload, and the vector files the converter makes from it — the SVG, PDF, EPS, DXF or PNG — are yours as well. Sell them, print them, cut them, put them in a product you ship. You owe us no fee, no share and no credit, and nothing here takes a licence in your artwork.
What we take is narrow and purely technical: permission to receive the file you send, process it on our servers, hold it long enough to build the result, and hand that result back. It ends when the files do. Uploaded images and generated files are removed by an automatic 1-day deletion rule and are never used for anything else — not to improve the tracer, not as examples, not for marketing. The privacy page says what is stored and by whom.
What you upload
You must own the image you upload, or otherwise hold the right to use it this way. Do not send material that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights, or that is unlawful. Tracing a picture does not create a right to use it. If you believe something converted here infringes your copyright, the copyright notice page explains how to tell us.
Free use, quotas and fair use
The converter is free and adds no watermark, and there is no paid plan today. One may appear later, and it would be announced on the site first.
Before you sign in, 10 conversions per hour are available from one address. Signed in with Google, the allowance is 60 conversions per hour and 300 per day. You can run a conversion and judge the preview without an account, while downloading the vector files needs a free Google sign-in. These figures keep one visitor from crowding out the rest, and they may be adjusted.
Fair use means a person converting their own artwork, one image per conversion. It does not cover scripts, crawlers, headless browsers or anything else that drives the upload form automatically, nor reselling the service as though it were your own. There is no public API today, and the internal endpoints this site calls are not one — write to us rather than build against them.
Accounts and suspension
An account exists so downloads can be attributed and the daily allowance counted. We may suspend or close an account, or block an address, where we find abuse: working around the quotas, automated use, attempts to overload or break the service, or unlawful uploads. Where it is reasonable, we will say why.
Availability and changes
The service is in beta and runs on a best-effort basis, with no uptime guarantee and no service level. We may change, restrict, suspend or withdraw any part of it — formats, settings, allowances, the whole thing — and we may have to do so without notice.
No warranty
The converter is provided as it stands. It is a geometric tracer, and what comes out depends on the picture that went in. We do not warrant that a conversion will succeed, that the result will suit a particular cutter, printer or CAD program, or that the service will run uninterrupted or free of error. Look at the preview and open the downloaded files before you cut, print or ship anything.
Liability
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Subject to that, and because the service is supplied free of charge, we are not liable for lost profits, lost or corrupted data, wasted material or machine time, or any indirect or consequential loss; our total liability in connection with the service is capped at [liability cap — to be completed].
Governing law and disputes

Questions
Can I sell what the converter produces?
Yes. The vector files are yours, and commercial use needs no permission, payment or credit from us. Tracing someone else's logo, though, still leaves it theirs.
Do you take a licence over the images I upload?
Only the technical permission needed to run the job. An automatic 1-day deletion rule then clears the upload and the result alike.
It is free today. Will it stay that way?
There is no paid plan and no watermark today. If pricing arrives it will be announced on the site, and these terms will carry a new date.
May I script the converter to get past the quotas?
No. The allowances keep one visitor from crowding out the rest, and automating the upload form is grounds for suspension.
